The Xbox Kinect system will be available in the UK and the rest of Europe on 10 November, just five days later than the US, Microsoft has announced.
The camera based system will enable players to interact with games without having to hold a controller. It will cost £129.99 and will ship with Kinect: Adventures!, a selection of mini-games designed to show off what Kinect can do.
Kinect will also be available as part of a bundle with a 4GB Xbox 360 S console for £249.99.
While the release comes in good time for the Christmas retail season, it will also have to contend with Sony’s PlayStation Move tech, which will be available in the UK on 17 September, and will be considerably cheaper, at just £17.99 for the Navigation Controller and £29.99 for the Motion Controller.
Meanwhile Nintendo’s Wii, which jump started the motion control concept back in 2006, will no doubt remain as a strong contender in the gaming market this holiday period.
Microsoft has also today revealed its launch line-up of games for its Windows Phone 7 platform, listing a total of 63 titles.
