We loved the VX Revolution and now we're just as impressed with its little brother...

The 'VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse' is a smaller version of the Revolution designed specifically for laptop users and its big selling point is its tiny 'plug-and-forget' 2.4GHz USB receiver.

Slotting into a spare USB port, the receiver is microscopically small, protruding just 8mm from the edge of the computer meaning users no longer have to worry about it getting lost or snagged. Consequently, as long as you don't regularly fill all your available USB slots, it is possible to leave the receiver connected permanently to a notebook meaning the Nano is always ready for use.

As for the mouse itself, it shares much of the features and styling of its larger and older brother including the 'MicroGear Prevision Scroll Wheel' enabling hyperfast single-spin document or webpage panning (perfect for spreadsheet workers and blog aficionados). There are also back and forward buttons for web browsing and five programmable buttons.

Finally, adding to the sense of one stop portable uber-mouse is battery life which Logitech claims will last up to six whole months on a pair of AAA batteries. This boast may take a while to confirm however!

Arriving in August (which is a formal way of saying 'next week') the VX Nano will set you back £49.99 and looks set to go top of its class.
