Fashion, it goes out of style soooo quickly daaarling...
Did you think the LG Prada was the latest je ne sais quoi? Then you're sooo passé. Version number two of the (pre-iPhone) heralded handset has already pitched up on website ClipSet which was given a full hands on with what looks to be a very capable successor.
The 'KU990' retains a similar appearance to its forebear but swaps out the meek 2MP camera for a rollicking five megapixeller with autofocus and flash. The sensor can also capture QVGA (320 x 240) video at up to screaming 120 frames per second so it'll catch every detail of your haute couture.
HSDPA is onboard this time too along with integrated YouTube functionality and an FM radio while the 3in touchscreen is said to be even brighter and more responsive. MicroSD is the expandable memory slot of choice. Other specs remain under wraps (though ClipSet has a video here) while a Euro release is scheduled for Q4 this year.
One further point: the KU990 shows no sign of the Prada logo. This could be because it is a prototype but the signature monochrome interface is also missing which begs the question, is this really the Prada 2 or simply LG's latest prêt-a-porter...?
Update: Now known as the 'LG Viewty' (bit odd), the handset will go on sale before the end of the year in the UK.
Update 2: Hits the UK in October.
