Another day, another High Definition television and that’s the way it is going to be for the next 36 days on TR, at least! On the news side of things it doesn’t let up either with LG the latest to make us all grabby.
The 47LB1DR has couch potato nirvana written all over it (that was a metaphor not an isolated incident of geek graffiti) sporting a large 47in screen with full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. It has a blindingly bright contrast ratio of 5000:1 and a zippy 6ms response time meaning the ball shouldn’t blur in the least as Crouch heads up to World Cup glory (NB: the fact that is hilarious really makes an important point, doesn’t it?!).
Furthermore, this model comes with a built in 250GB hard drive. There is no word on whether it is upgradeable, but it should pack in around 20 hours of HD broadcasts, more than enough to record hundreds of angles of replays showing Crouch’s bullet that header past Dida (it just gets funnier, it’s like magical realism).
We don’t have a price yet, but the fact LG describes the release as pre-World Cup should probably tell you what its focus is…
“IT’S CROUCH WITH A HAT-TRICK!!!” I have to stop, my eyes are watering.
