LG Releases 72in Monster 3D TV

There’s no doubt that 3D works its magic best on as large a screen size as possible, so if you’re really going for it, then why not indulge in the world’s largest 3DTV, the LG 72LEX9.

Actually, there are two good reasons – it probably won’t fit in your lounge, and secondly it's currently only on sale in Korea. That said it is making its way, via a large boat no doubt, to these shores soon, and can be pre-ordered at some online UK retailers. The £4,500 asking price is actually pretty reasonable, considering a mere 65in Panasonic plasma will cost you four grand.

The TV is LED backlit, with Spot Control pixel dimming and TruMotion 400Hz tech. It offers DLNA compatibility and has Netcast online streaming access, though we imagine watching lo-rent YouTube videos on this thing would be a scary thing indeed.

We actually caught sight of this TV on our wanderings at IFA, and judging from the man in the picture when you’ve got a 72in TV in front of you, its smiles all round.
