With the Shine, Chocolate and Prada phone all scoring big hits for LG in the last 12 months it has gone down the inevitable Motorola route and started spawning tweaked incarnations.
The Chocolate has already been produced in all three popular form factors – slide, flip, candybar – and now the Shine (post flip) has also completed the trio...
The 'KE770' is a svelte candybar which at just 9.9mm thick is nearly one third slimmer than the original slider Shine though otherwise is virtually identical with a QVGA 262k colour screen, two megapixel camera, Bluetooth, 50MB of onboard storage and microSD expansion slot.
One surprising spec omission however was whether the handset will carry 3G connectivity. Given it recently kicked up a fuss about the addition of HSDPA to the Shine however I strongly suspect its silence means the KE770 is GSM only.
LG unveiled the handset in Russia (where it will launch this week) but gave no indication about when it will debut in other markets. Like the Shine however it is likely to be free on most 12 and 18 month contracts.
