LG KF300 Launches Exclusively On Orange

I suspect fashionable yet affordable handsets are going to be increasingly popular in these coming months of greedy banker created economic turmoil...

Seeking not to lighten our already featherweight pockets then is news Orange has scored LG's rather attractive entry level KF300. The 16.2mm thick clamshell/flip/insert-your-favourite-format-description-here handset isn't going to knock anyone's socks off technologically with a 2MP camera, 14MB of native memory or missing WiFi, HSDPA and GPS but it is a rather attractive design and has all the basics covered.

By this I'm taking about a nice 2.2in QVGA 262k colour LCD, 1.3in external 128 x 160 display, MP3 player, microSD expansion slot, FM radio and Bluetooth while at just 97g it is as light in your pocket as on it.

"With its large screen, easy-to-use shortcut keys, variable font sizes and basic menu structure, the LG-KF300 is designed for users who just want to call and text but still have a strong to desire to own a slim, attractive handset," said LG UK Mobile Marketing Head Jeremy Newing. "We are delighted to announce the LG-KF300's exclusivity with Orange, which sees another great addition to LG's growing value range."

Going for free on selected Orange £15pm contracts, those ignorant fortunate enough to be free of the growing smartphone obsession certainly could do a lot worse...
