IFA 2009: Panasonic Lumix GF1

Up top there's a mode dial, the shutter button and, of course, an accessory shoe that you can attach the optional electronic viewfinder to.

Controls are logically arranged and the display is bright and pin sharp. Build quality is also outstanding.

A small thumb grip provides ample control; for such a small camera the GF1 handles very well - particularly with the telephoto lens to grab hold of.

This button activates the built-in flash.

And here it is.

One more time...

Wow - mouth-watering! Being over the mooon with my new LX3, I can only imagine what this must be like. Time to start saving again! Looking forward to your review.

"Up top there's a mode dial, the shutter button and, of course, an accessory shoe that you can attached the optional optical viewfinder to." I may be wrong but I thought it was a EVF not optical viewfinder that is being released at the same time for use with the GF1?

I'm dreading the price when they tell us as Iknow as I won't be able to afford the most desirable camera I have seen in years..
