Back in December of last year Gordon commented on some truly mad TVs from HANNSpree that despite being very small (15in small in some cases) cost a fortune. It seems that HANNSpree can produce a different kind of TV though, one that seems to pack a reasonable amount of features at an even more reasonable price. Dubbed the XV (no doubt amid recitations of “I’m a poet and…”) HANNSpree's latest offering comes in 32 and 37in flavours, both with native 1,336 x 768 resolution. Also onboard are two HDMI and Scart inputs.
While the generic black casing isn't going to win any awards for styling, it doesn't exactly look hideous - and for the money you couldn't realistically ask for more. The real kicker with this TV range, you see, is the price, at just £359 and £499 for the 32 and 37in models respectively, the XV isn’t going to break the bank. Of course the last TV we looked at in that price range failed to impress, so HANSpree had better hope it can disprove that you don't always get what you pay for.
Update: Having just heard from HANNSpree, we can now inform you that both 32 and 37in XVs are available now from Misco.
