11.15pm GMT: You may have heard the rampant rumours today about a 16GB iPhone launching. Well, I've got down and dirty, done the heavy digging and can CONFIRM it will go on sale in all UK O2 stores nationwide from 1.30pm.
The new larger capacity handset will not be a straight replacement for the 8GBer as it WILL come in at the higher price of £329 - ouch. That said, storage was the second highest area of concern for many punters so it could well tip the scales for a lot of you and cause the sales spike that Apple needs in the European territories.
So far there have been no details about when the 16GBer will go on sale in other countries (though I'd gamble on a simultaneous launch) and how much it will cost ($499 in the US is my bet).
So let's wait for the time to tick by and those interested get your butts down to O2 now and remember which site helped you beat the queues... ;)
Update: US Apple store is now down, you know what's coming - millions of others don't...
Update 2: I was spot on, price included (did you ever doubt me?). Here's the full write up plus the surprise announcement of a 32GB iPod touch.
