Creative has announced a range of speakers systems to boosts both its affordable Inspire range and its style-focused I-Trigue family.
The T3000’s are a 2.1 set consisting of two satellites and a sub-woofer. The satellites feature tweeters and a mid-range driver to provide a balanced sound across the highs and lows. The set is flexibile as it can be wall mounted or placed on stands. Features include a wired in line-remote with headphone out capability. The Inspire T3000 speakers are available now with a SRP of £39.99.
The new offering include two 5.1 sets. The first are the Inspire P5800s and are intended for those who want surround sound on a budget. The centre speaker is horizontal for easy positioning on top of a monitor or TV, while the sub-woofer boasts reinforced wood for dynamic bass. Line-in connectivity enables the speakers to be used with games consoles and home audio devices, while the wired remote has volume and bass controls as well as a headphone jack. The Inspire P5800 speakers are available now with a SRP of £59.99.
The T5900 speakers are a step up featuring dual-drive technology in the satellites combined with a tweeter and a mid-range driver. As well a a horizontal centre speaker, the sub is reinforced and ported, while the built-in Creative CMSS function up-mixes 4-channel input to 5.1. The Inspire T5900 speakers are available now with a SRP of £69.99.
If 6-channel sound isn’t enough you might like the look, and the sound, of the Inspire T7900s. These feature eight-channel surround sound support from 7.1 sound cards such as Creative's SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS. Dual-driver technology and a reinforced wood subwoofer again appear, as well a CMSS upmixing fron 5.1 and 6.1 sources. The Inspire T7900 speakers are available now with a SRP of £99.99.
For the space and style conscious the I-Trigue range might be the way to go. These sets are designed to look as well as sound good, enabling a PC system to fit comfortably into an image conscious environment such as a lounge. The technology boasts Creative’s Acoustic Loaded Module, which the company claims enhances mid-to-low frequencies and tonality to enable smaller speakers to compete with larger structures. Each satellite also has three high–precision Titanium dome microdrivers with NeoTitanium Tri-Array technology, which Creative believes ensures more natural tonality, wider sound dispersion and enhanced detail. A reinforced wood subwoofer adds bass impact and a wired remote incorporates headphone and line-in connectivity.
The I-Trigue 5600s are a 5.1 set can be wall mounted, the front centre unit is horizontal for easy positioning, and stereo inputs can be upmixed to 5.1. The I-Trigue 5600 is available now for £149.99.
