Popping into see Belkin is always an interesting experience, it always seems to have lots of small interesting things that you wish someone had done before. The Laptop@home range, which is intended to make laptop use at home simpler, is a perfect example of this.

The CushTop may be a simple idea, but it's still a brilliant one. Indeed, I wish I'd had one last night when I was working on stories. It's a colourful, ergonomically designed cushion that's designed so that you can use your laptop on your lap – rarely a practical experience – in comfort. The cushion is made from heat dissipating material, so it'll keep you and your laptop cool. Retailing at £29.99 inc VAT, the CushTop, as with all the range, will be available early this summer.

Another neat innovation is the PocketTop which, though innocuous at first, is actually very cleverly designed. It's intented as a workstation and protective casing for using a laptop around the home, and when not in use closes up to protect the laptop. In the top is a compartment for storing a power supply and other accessories, while you can feed the power cable through the back of the case for convenience.

Finally, the SleeveTop is a far simpler but no less useful item. It's a simple case in which you can slip your laptop into. It's a cheap and simple way hiding unsightly laptops out of harms way, and the handle makes moving around a breeze.
