A1000 IS and A2000 IS
Two new models join Canon’s budget A-series. They have a number of features in common. Both have 10.0-megapixel CCD sensors, optical image stabilisation, 30fps VGA video shooting, 3200 ISO maximum sensitivity and DIGIC III processing, and are powered by AA batteries. They are designed to be easy to use, with 17 shooting modes, face detection with Select & Track, and have motion detection technology to help reduce motion blur during low-light shots.
The A2000 IS has a 6x optical zoom lens and a 3.0-inch LCD monitor, and is available in gunmetal and silver, while the A1000 IS has a 4x zoom lens and a 2.5-inch monitor and comes in a range of colours, blue, brown or silver.
