Bravias Up To 1080p

The evolution of Sony’s Bravia range is akin to a relentless procession of T1000’s hell bent on the destruction of mankind but despite this inevitable doom they are certainly looking to exterminate us with via an aesthetically pleasing send off.

The latest armies to march in, for example, are the KDL-46XBR3 (above), KDL-46XBR2, KDL-40XBR3, KDL-40XBR2 and KDL-V32XBR2 whose sizes can all be determined from the first numbers after their hyphens.

The interesting thing about all five of these sets – despite their obsession with bringing down the human race – is that they all sport 1,920 x 1,080 resolution displays so whilst they may be the last thing we’ll ever see it will be at least at 1080p high definition resolutions.

The quintriplets also feature a built in ATSC tuner plus one VGA, two HD component and three (count em) HDMI inputs. A semi opaque bezel completes a stylish exterior but don’t be fooled by a pretty face, these things bring hardcore human extermination.

If you’re still a sucker for a pretty mug – and who, to be quite honest, isn’t – you’ll also be interested to know that from September the whole lot will be let loose with prices starting from a thoroughly reasonable $2,500 (for the 32 incher). Please note, this is the first rule of enemy warfare: appear open, accessible and weak to your opponent then STRIKE! STRIKE! STRIKE!
