Like every elitist high end technology DAB digital radio has come to settle firmly in the mainstream, but perhaps never this mainstream...
For the startlingly low price of £44.93, the Bush 'TR04DABBLK' (that's some mouthful) combines retro stylng with a modern piano black finish and touch screen controls meaning no more knobs to play with (what? What?)
A large two line LCD with blue LED backlight also displays radio names, the time and even artists, songs and programme information where available. 10 DAB and 10 FM stations can be stored as default and the radio automatically tunes into each available DAB station when first switched one allowing you to pre-select your favourites.
Along with high fidelity audio, DAB also offers twice the number of stations available from FM in any one place and with in excess of 85 per cent of the UK now covered by DAB only the particularly rustic are likely to find themselves in trouble.
The TR04DABBLK goes on sale in ASDA this month and from the looks of it the only thing Bush has to work on with this model is the branding... I mean TR04DA... arghhh!.
