As is almost inevitable in the technology industry, mere days after posting up details of AMD's forthcoming RV635 and RV620 graphics chips we now also have some leaked pictures and specifications of the cards which will make use of them, courtesy of Spanish site, MadBoxPC - just don't ask how they got them!

First up then, we have the RV620-based AMD Radon HD 3450 and HD 3470. The former is a low-profile card with a 525MHz core clock speed and 256MB of 800MHz GDDR2 memory on a 64-bit interface. Slightly making up for those rather underwhelming specs it is built on a 55nm process so power requirements, and thus heat output, should be pretty low. The real pull of this card though, will be that it boats a DisplayPort output, likely making it the cheapest way to drive a fancy new 30in monitor, assuming you don't wish to play games.

Next up from the HD 3450 we have the HD 3470, bringing a 600MHz core clock to the table along with either 256MB or 512MB of GDDR3 running at 1GHz on the same 64-bit bus. Performance should be increased from the 3450 in line with the clock speeds, but in real world terms, you still aren't going to be playing any game developed this side of 1999.

Slightly up the performance stakes is the HD 3650, which comes in Pro and XT flavours bringing a 600MHz and 800MHz clock speed respectively, as well as, again, either 256MB or 512MB of 2GHz GDDR3 memory this time on a 128-bit interface. According to MadBoxPC the information they acquired suggests this is a replacement for the current HD 2600-series which should indicate the level of performance expected. Still, if you can't afford to shell out for a 3800-series card and want the new power saving functionality along with AMD's UVD and DX10.1 (even if you'll never get playable framerates using it) then you'll probably be grabbing one of these new cards when they launch next January.
