Those of you sat with an Eee PC 900 or 901 thinking "if only I had the larger keyboard of the Eee PC 1000 on this system" might just be looking at an upgrade soon. According to DigiTimes, Asus is planning to introduce the Eee PCs 904 and 905, which will sport just those features. That is to say, they will be slightly larger systems overall, with larger keyboards but with the smaller 8.9in, 1,024 x 600 resolution screen.
The intention, apparently, is for the 905 and 904 to come out at the current 901 and 900's prices, with the latter two machines then dropping down the scale to face off against the Aspire One. As one would expect, an Atom processor will sit at the core of each of these systems.
DigiTimes' sources also say that there is a chance that the storage and battery options might be varied with these new 900-series Eee PCs. Hopefully the larger chassis size could mean a larger battery will be fitted. The Eee PC 901 didn't exactly disappoint on the battery life front, but we're not ones complain about getting more!
