Update: The refreshed 16GB iPod Touch is now available in the UK with the added new features, colour range and cheaper £159 price tag.
Apple announced it was dropping the price of its iPod Touch range earlier this month, simultaneously adding the front-facing iSight camera and the full colour range to the entry-level 16GB model.
Initially, the new 16GB edition was only available in the US, but now UK consumers can get their mitts on the £159 model.

Apple has quietly updated its entry level 16GB iPod Touch, introducing the full colour range to the 16GB model and cutting the prices for all three variants as well.
The 16GB iPod Touch now comes with the same 5-megapixel iSight camera with 1080p HD video recording as the others already did and can be purchased in six colours, including the (Product)Red option. Previously you could only buy it in black or silver and it lacked a rear camera of any kind.
This entry-level option is now priced at £159 and Apple has slashed the price of the 32GB and 64GB models to £199 and £249 respectively.
All three ship with the same 4-inch Retina display, forward facing FaceTime HD camera and are powered by the Apple A5 processor. Of course, they also run the latest iOS 7 operating system.
When iOS 8 arrives in the autumn, Apple has confirmed that it will be compatible with the iPod Touch range, so you’ll be able to take advantage of its new features later this year if you buy one now.
Each iPod Touch comes pre-packed with Apple’s EarPods and come with the iPod Touch loop for easy carrying.
The refreshed 16GB iPod Touch is available in the US today, but won’t arrive in the UK for a couple of days.
