Do you think this would be able to run Windows Server 2003?

Windows home server IS Windows Server 2003 with more running on top of it, so this box should run it in a very similar fashion.

For the money there are other options with dual core atoms and 5 bay hot swap caddies for only £50 more, able to run whatever OS you want.

I'll stick with my dockable eSATA Sharkoon HDD unit thanks - cheap and it does what it supposed to without costing nearly 10* as much!

It would be good to see the performance of the VIA ARTiGO A2000 storage server running Ubuntu server.
The performance of FreeNAS is not on par with recent linux distributions (smallnetbuilder.com has benchmarks in their Build Your Own Atom-based NAS How-Tos, showing how Ubuntu server outperforms FreeNAS by 2-3x).
