What a fantastic idea !! I've been looking for a smart / stylish router/access point for ages. I hope these will come out soon. It makes a lot of sense to leave them out on display for better performance, but without looking like an eyesore.
I've got the Belkin N1 - yes it looks stylish, but with 3 pointy things sticking out, it still looks like a router.
I've also got the Linksys ones - the ones that have no pointy things sticking out, but it still looks like a router.
Hopefully my search will be over soon .....

Nice ideas! Apart from the cabling, which as usual with pictures of any domestic electronic product don't appear in promotional pictures :-) .

@Mikey_uk well if Routers go in the direction of those linked in the article, then cables may well go the way of these: http://www.trustedreviews.com/home-cinema/news/2009/01/09/CES-2009--Cables--What-Cables-/p1

Nice effect those keys are going to have on signal!
Apparently the design team didn't have an engineer on hand!

@Ryan - it'll make very little difference at all Ryan, certainly not compared to a router's usual place under a desk/down the back of a PC!

My Belkin N1 Vision is pretty much my desk clock. It uses internet time as well so is always "correct" similar an atomic remote clock. (bizarrely this router was the cheapest I could see at the time that had wireless n *and* gigabit ethernet!)
