I'm with Be and i'd be happy if i got anywhere near the 24Mbit i'm currently paying for never mind 40Mbit. The most i've got out of my connection is 9Mbit so you'll forgive me for not getting too excited just yet...

9MB is not bad for a 24MB connection. I think there are people who would be over the moon if they could get that much.
Please remember that "8MB" customers often get 1-3MB.

I got all excited until I spotted that you need TWO phones lines. So that's TWICE the line rental as well then, eh?
I think I'll stick with my existing 24Mbit thanks. I can download at up to 1.2MB per second which is plenty fast enough for me right now :)

I have 15mbit at home from BE* broadband.
FYI, BE* are ONLY doing the bonded ADSL trial in the Kingston area of London (http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/LSKIN) so if you aren't living in kingston, then don't bother asking!

I just called them. You have to be connected to the Paddington exchange for this offer.

I wonder when virgin will put their 50MB fibre optic proposal in action. Well i cant really complain because i get on an average 15mb-20mb download speed but their traffic management is completely ridiculous...They cap your speed to about 3-5mb if you download past your threshold during working hours.

Actually Bonded ADSL is used as well but mostly for businesses as it tends to be expensive, I wonder how much Be will be asking for theirs if the trial is a success.
