Drop by for all the latest phone and tablet news from MWC 2013. Every year, the GSMA holds Mobile World Congress, generally referred to as MWC. It’s one of the largest tech shows in the world, and focuses on mobile products like phones and tablets. Given how popular these sectors are these days, it’s a pretty big deal. MWC 2013 is particularly interesting because many of the big tech companies held back products that might in previous years have been outed at CES, another tech show held in Las Vegas. We’ll be out on the show floor, eyeballing all of the latest gear and bringing you previews on all the best bits. Want to know what to look out for? We wrote a feature on all the biggest phones and tablets to expect this year. It’s a healthy crop. Some of the best bits include the super-slick Sony Xperia Z tablet, the rumoured Firefox OS phone from ZTE and the slightly silly-sounding Asus Fonepad. It should hopefully be a good deal less silly than the oddball Asus Padfone, though, as it’s essentially a super-powered, metal-bodied take on the Google Nexus 7. Did you know that Asus actually made the tablet for Google? Mobile World Congress 2013 kicks off on Monday 25 February, and takes place in Barcelona, Spain.
