Don't all subwoofers have a volume control? My old creative set from 2000 does.

Suffers from the crossover issues though, midrange is a bit weak.

Anyway, enough about me.

Yes they do. My point is that in most cases you still end up with either overpowering bass or no bass though.

One of my Uncles has a set of 2.1 Altec Lansing Speakers from at least 10-12 years ago. The satellites are exactly the same size as these Creatives.
They still sound amazing. Bass without drowning out Vocals. I've found size to be deceptive of quality, even though that should be the case.
I've seen Hi-Fi stereos with massive speakers that cannot produce the clarity in sound that a Gigaworks T20 does.

I see a lot of praise of these speakers and of Creative's T20 and T40, but how do they compare? Are the T3s really a cut above the T40s? Just wondering, as they are not really compared that directly.

Riyad, how do you think it stands in comparison to the old klipsch promedia 2.1? which one is better? and which one will you buy if you still can find a new promedia 2.1?

If you turn the master volume for the sub all the way down does the bass cut out completley or is it just lower in volume? thanks.
