Sorry to be a pain. The whole point of a review is to give honest findings based on hard evidence. Although Jonathan has written a colourful piece there is really no substance in what he describes. Some nice anecdotes are used throughout but I would much prefer to have at least a test bed describing what was used and reference bench (similar setup with a CD player) mark to test upon. Obviously, the reference has to focus on a high end CD player and the transporter test bed has to match that of the CD player or there no point in coming to conclusions. For example, whats lossless formats tested/reviewed, which ones, using what sources on what hardware. I noted several reviews in audiophile magazines which stated that the transporter outperformed CD players of double the price. So who is write or wrong or who is getting some money to write a good review? The debate goes on.
