Anyone who isn’t a fan of DAB radios simply hasn’t listened to one, but what if you want something more fully featured AND you’re on a budget?

Pure’s ‘DMX-25’ could be for you. At just £129.99 this DAB enabled Hi-Fi unit illustrates the rapidly falling cost of this technology and also serves up MP3 and WMA playback via CDs, SD memory cards and USB pen drives.

Furthermore, two auxiliary ports allow the connection of mp3 players (yes, including the iPod) and the device’s backlit blue screen can display artist, album and track information. There’s space for 30 FM presets with RDS as well should you feel like going old school and Pure has still managed to squeeze a top loading CD player in there with CD-R and CD-RW playback which supports CD playlists and CD Text.

Sleep button and alarm functionality aren’t left out either and with 10W per channel speakers it should be enough to get even the most sensible avoiders of that horrible AM time period laziest out of bed in the morning.

Grab the DMX-25 goes from April (just remember to fight the alarm).
