Sometimes certain products are destined to come together: the PDA and Smartphone, the television and monitor, the stereo and PC, the UMPC and the rubbish bin. So it is nice to see the wonderfully superficial RAZR so effortlessly conjoined with the wonderfully superficial MobiBLU brand and somehow form something of substance.

Cutting an undeniably Motorola-esque yet striking figure is the US2 (or UltraSlim-2 to be precise) and with dimensions of just 80 x 40 x 7mm it lives up to its name beautifully, though I’ll admit the US1 clearly passed me and my extensive Google searches by…

The US2 however looks likely to be far more memorable than its illusive forebear since it manages to pack a 1.5in OLED display, SRS WoW audio processing and promises support for audio, photo and video (though exact formats were unspecified). Capacities range from 1GB to 4GB but pricing seems to be hidden away somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle along with Lord Lucan, Shergar and the MobiBLU US1.

Rumour has it the US2 could drop as soon as mid July so expect the gaps to be filled in fairly soon…

Update:
It appears the US1 never existed since no hard proof can be found. Believers in god, ghosts, decent Vin Diesel movies and Duke Nukem Forever may choose to ignore this line of reasoning.
