Wandering along the stalls of cheap Taiwanese knock-offs, one can often find some truly unique products. These sets of iPod speakers caught my attention for obvious reasons.

These speakers, made by A-Zone feature a fully functioning valve system. Although valves seem outdated when compared to the modern transistor, they have always been known to give the best possible sound quality. Increasingly, many guitarists choose valve amps over more modern methods. Although A-Zone does sell some products in the UK, unfortunately this isn’t one of them, but they sounded great!

This product is probably one of the most unique I’ve seen at the whole show – an iPod dock that doubles up as a loo roll dispenser. It’s actually being sold in Bed Bath&Beyond in the USA and apparently they can’t keep up with the demand. I’m not sure this well ever replace the traditional newspaper next to the toilet and personally neither appeal to me. However, it would make a handy device for playing some chilled out music while soaking muscle ache away in a warm bubble bath on a Sunday night.

These are currently selling for $99 and the sound isn’t too bad at all, but the white plastic casing leaves much to the imagination.
