Creative Releases New WebCams

Creative has announced the arrival of three new web cams to its range of Internet related hardware.

The WebCam Live! Pro goes straight to the top of the pile with fast USB 2.0 connectivity enabling it to stream VGA resolution (640 x 480) video at 30 frames per second. A CMOS sensor captures the video, for uses such as instant messaging and videoconferencing. It has a three-way base for attaching to a any work surface or attached to a flat panel monitor

A separate microphone ensures that voices are picked up without background noise. The camera comes complete with Creative’s WebCam Center software, which offers a range of powerful utilities including motion detection, remote monitoring, time-lapse video capture and Smart Face Tracking, which follows users as they move during a live session. The WebCam Live! Pro is available now for £59.99.

The WebCam Live! is essentially the same camera but only uses a USB1.1 connection. It’s available now for £50.

The WebCam Instant is an entry level device costing only £30. It can capture video at 352 x 288 and stills at up to 640 x 480. it comes bundled with a selection of image editing and management software.
