Looks and feature wise, these are exactly what I'm after, but the dodgy performance is putting me off. Can anyone recommend something similar that they have been happy using?

Does anyone know if this unit works with an iPod Touch, Perhaps by using an App from the Apple store? Please advise.

My faithful old Motorola HT820's have the same feature set, and they too cut off all BT when the audio cable is plugged in. Maybe they're using the same innards?
