Very nice, however, I suppose it was too much to hope for a wider range of formats supported, Ogg, FLAC etc.

No mkv support = fail.
And I was looking forward to it as well :(

aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrggggghhhhhhh!!!!!
I know it's Microsoft, but seriously what's wrong with including Flac and/or Ogg? Complete fail for me simply because of that. Granted my Touch HD means I'm not in the market for a Zune anyway, but at least with WiMo you can use a media player than CAN do those FREE TO USE AND IMPLEMENT CODECS
FFS! /rant

Steve Ballamer himself said that Europe could expect a zune HD launch by Christmas - however that was said off the record so how true that is we can only tell. Although many, other zune reps have said similar things in the past they appear now to be a lot more confident, especially since Canada now has the zune.

All it needed was some sort of MicroSD/SD Card expansion slot and his would sway me to buy instantly.

Oooh, I so want one!!
I really hope they bring this to the UK, but that would mean teh HD Radio feature would be useless (darned DAB!!) but cripes, it looks very sweet indeed!
It would mean I could get rid of my iPod Touch as this looks much better.
Fingers crossed!
