I've had this board for about 6 weeks, had to send it off for warranty repair, the guys at gigabyte were very quick at finding nothing wrong with my board, Knowing I did have a system board fault I complained and was invited to bring my other hardware items for checking in the machine. ie. Processor, Mem ory and 10 Hard disks.
I was immediately shocked when I found that the engineer working on my board proceeded to fit my memory and Processor etc to the board without any kind of anti static control.
I really shouldn't have been suprised when smoke started pouring from two of my Hard Disk Drives. With a look of total shock on my face the engineer suggested that it'll be ok as my HDDs were still under warranty. I don't know what damage has been done to the System Boar, processor or memory. I have pictures of all the manhandling I decided that it would be in my interest to have some evidence... I Just hope they respond to my complaint, in the meantime DO NOT PURCHASE ONE OF THESE BOARDS, I'll update this comment if I hear anything back from them.
