Are their going to be any benchmarks against the older Core 2 Duo's instead of just between each i7 chip, so as to see how much of a performance gain/loss there is and whether it's worth spending a small fortune in upgrading?

Yup, you can find that here: http://www.trustedreviews.com/cpu-memory/review/2008/11/04/Intel-Core-i7-Performance-Analysis/p1

The specs don't say a word about the myth that RAM voltage set higher than 1.65 volts "will damage the cpu permanently", so, with this MoBo, will it be possible to use DDR3 working at 1.9v along with an Core i7 processor?.
I'm asking this because I bought this MoBo and was thinking about using the RAM I already have, but that RAM is OCZ Intel Extreme Edition, wich voltage says is 1.9v.

Hi, This is the one site I goto to check out reviews, I have been searching for an awesome motherboard that is fast, reliable, and can out perform the rest. This motherboard interests me allot so I was wondering what did you mean you stated "This is a lovely motherboard that delivers everything you need as well as a few features that are frivolous. Our only reservations centre on the occasions when we broke Windows Vista and, yes, that astronomical price." as your verdict. Please could you explain in more detail what you meant. I greatly appreciate it.
I greatly appreciate your insight into what you truly think about this motherboard or which one you prefer other than this. Please email or comment.
Thanks in advance.

you know, i think i've decided i want one :D
maybe if asus release a cheaper version. the base core i7 could look to be a worth while upgrade. i've got someone who wants to buy my current rig.
