Sounds like your 9800 GT isn't truly single slot. I've never heard of a motherboard to have less than the standard slot width apart.

oh, whoops. didn't realise, but now i look at it the cooler does stick out about a couple of millimetres from the pcb. ah well, i never needed the built in wifi adapter anyway... more
