Those of you who followed our extensive CES 2008 coverage will remember seeing the new range of Samsung TVs, most of which sported Samsung's new and rather fetching 'Touch of Colour' rose tinted bezels. And, not one to let a good idea go to waste it, Samsung has decided to take this concept and apply it to some equally good looking LCD Monitors, which may as well be TVs given how they look.

This new design applies to two new models, the 24 inch SyncMaster T240 (above) and the 26 inch T260HD. Both offer 20,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratios and a Full HD 1,920 x 1,200 native resolution, with input options including DVI, D-SUB and HDMI, but strangely no Component. For those response time enthusiasts both are rated at 5ms, which should be ample for most needs.

In addition to these attributes the T260HD adds a Digital TV Tuner into the mix, effectively making it a Full HD 26in TV, while both also offer 1:1 pixel mapping to ensure any 1080p source isn't needlessly stretched and scaled to fit the 16:10 native ratio.

All in all, though the lack of Component input is somewhat galling, these new monitors certainly look the part and should be at home anywhere in the house. No UK pricing is yet available, but keep those beady eyes open for them soon.
