i can't understand why anyone would buy a good looking, slim, lightweight phone and then stick it in a case. All of them make the iPhone more bulky, very ugly, and less usable.
i carry my iPhone everywhere, i travel lots and generally don't especially look after the thing.... yea it's got scratches if you look VERY VERY closely. but big bloody deal.. it only needs to last another 8 or 9 months.
That's life.

I used a black Elan style one, but after about 6 months the glue melted and the leather bunched up before coming off completely. To be fair though, my screen protector had a massive gouge in it from being in the same pocket as a set of keys.

I'm with Michael here, the I-Phone looks nice, and putting into any form of case seems to take that away. Rather than just ignore the scratches I put some InvisibleShield on from Zagg with that stuff on you don't need to worry about putting the I-Phone next to your keys in your pocket etc.

I protect mine with a skin from uniqueskins.com. It's not as durable as a hard case like these, but it protects from scratches and I can have one of my favourite photos as a skin. :)
PS: "past" is the preposition you were looking for, "passed" is a verb.
