Resco Keyboard Pro
Resco is another basic, iPhone-esque QWERTY touch screen keyboard. There's a simple one letter per key arrangement and the letters pop up above your finger as you type so you can see instantly whether or not you're pressing the correct key. Press the wrong letter and, just as you can with the iPhone, you can slide your finger or thumb around the keyboard until you get to right letter and then release.

Resco makes two other pads available apart from the main QWERTY one. There's a pad for entering numbers and symbols, plus (rather strangely) a working calculator pad which allows you to insert quick sums and their workings into a document. Plus, there's all manner of whizzy graphical skins you can apply to the keyboard. The default one, however, seems to work best.

Generally, the larger letters mean that this is a better keyboard than the free PocketCM above. Typing is more accurate, and the single letter per key arrangement means that non-dictionary words are easy to type quickly. Switch the screen to portrait mode and the buttons get bigger and even easier to type on.

Again, however, typing symbols and numbers isn't elegantly dealt with. The QWERTY pad is completely bereft of symbols, which means even full stops and commas require you to flip between pads. This quickly becomes tiresome.
It's the best standard layout touchscreen keyboard I've used, however, and worth a look if simplicity is high on your list of priorities.
