T-Mobile Lands BlackBerry Bold 9700

The BlackBerry Bold has long been the jewel in RIM's crown, given the marmite nature of the BlackBerry Storm. With the arrival of the new (and greatly improved) Storm 2 that isn't so much the case, but its Bold 9700 successor remains equally compelling and it won't cost you a fortune either...
Snapping at Vodafone's heels this month is T-Mobile, which has announced it will be stocking the Bold 9700 from 10 November across the UK. Prospective owners will be able to pre-order from the 6 November online. Much like Vodafone, T-Mobile will be offering the Bold 9700 (also referred to as the 'Bold 2') from free for £35 per month with BlackBerry email setting you back a further £5pm and the same amount as unlimited data, if you don't go for it as part of the main contract.

What does this commitment get you? You can read our Bold 9700 first impressions for a detailed look, but in summary you'll find a power packed device with 2.44in light sensing 480 x 360 display, full Qwerty keyboard with the new RIM digital trackball, BlackBerry OS 5.0, HSDPA, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack and microSDHC expansion slot with support for 32GB cards.
"We know there is a lot of interest in the new BlackBerry Bold 9700," admitted T-Mobile UK handset and device marketing head Nicola Shenton. "We've had huge success with both the BlackBerry Pay once and the first Bold, showing that the BlackBerry appeals to a mass consumer market. We're sure this latest addition will be just as big a hit for T-Mobile."
Well you know what they say about spice, variety and life...
