"The former isn't official as yet..."

this just brought my dreams crashing down with a sickening bump :(

And I was blaming O2 for the fact that callers have been getting my voicemail most of the time and my text messages have been arriving several hours after they were sent. I also had the problem with the iphone not waking from sleep. I wonder then whether these really are sporadic issues or how many others have experienced these problems?

@Scot Blame o2 for that. Im on 3 since 3.0 and never have problems with phone calls, txts or voicemails. The only thing is it does have trouble waking up from sleep mode some times, for that I blame Apple.

AT&T are going to allow VOIP on their network in the US now all eyes are on O2 they better do it

I don't see how the iPhone can ever be considered a "serious gaming platform". Apple wants you to believe it is, but it is ridiculous to accept that.

@ Scot
I had network disconnect problems too. If I got into bad signal, it wouldn't connect again until I waited a good twenty minutes or if I reset it. This is on the 3GS.
All good now, and my girlfriend on the iPhone 2G has had her battery problems go away altogether.

@Nytol: I think Gordon meant a serious platform for (casual) gaming rather than a platform for serious gaming.

"bug fixes and improvements" I'm guessing one of those is to block syncing with the Pre again.

Unfortunately since the upgrade, I now get regular unexpected quits from the iPhone mail app when trying to send messages on my 2G iPhone.

Anyone else had this? (I've tried resetting, then re-entering mail and smtp server details again to no avail.)

comment Jay said on 11th October 2009

@Simon nope this is an iPod/iPhone update not an iTunes update but they will break it again sometime

SRS - Are you on a iPhone original, or iPhone 3G?
