It is okay I guess, if you view this a MID/UMPC with phone add-on rather than a smartphone.

wow, now your phone can get regular viruses unless you install a resource hogger virus-scan on something with limited resources! awesome!
in seriousness, Windows 7 on that would be interesting with the touch stuff - especially if it was a multi-touch screen...

You can write an application to do anything! As long as it sends the SIM information and the right control signals, it's just 1's & 0's at the end of the day.

Would it even work in the UK? Can you get a windows application which makes calls over a mobile operator's network? I don't mean data calls but standard ones where you use up free minutes etc.
