So we've touched down at IFA and I'm nestled into the press room, but little kicks off until the Sony Conference at the end of the day. By contrast, over at Nokia World...
The Finns have kicked off things with a bang announcing three swanky handsets, the previously unknown ‘X3' and ‘X6' and making the leaked Nokia N97 Mini official. We'll look at the unknowns first because here it seems Nokia is really about to up its game.

The X6 is the real eye opener with a 3.2in capacitive full touchscreen 16:9 display with S60 5th generation OS. From here it throws the kitchen sink at the feature list bringing together a 5MP autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss lens and dual LED flash, HSDPA, WiFi, aGPS and a massive 32GB of internal memory that can be further added to with the microSDHC expansion slot. Nokia's Comes With Music service will also be a potential option. As for the X3, it is a lower end slider with 2.2in QVGA display, 3.2MP camera, EDGE, WiFi and aGPS. You'll also find an FM tuner and microSDHC slot, handy given there's just 46MB of internal memory.

Looking at the N97 Mini and it's much as we already knew: 3.2in resistive touchscreen (bad Nokia, bad), HSDPA, sliding qwerty keyboard, 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens and dual LED flash, WiFi, aGPS, 8GB of internal memory and a microSDHC expansion slot. Yes, it's all a little too close to the N97 to my mind, so quite what Nokia was thinking here who knows?
The Nokia X6 and X3 will both ship sometime in Q4 for 450 euros and 115 euros respectively. The N97 Mini will arrive next month for 450 euros. So Nokia World is off to a flyer, expect IFA to wake from its slumber bright and early on the first official day tomorrow...

I'm the opposite - I really like the look of the X3, but without the specs of the X6 (minus the touch screen) then it is of no interest to me. Just want a solid, high-end, slim sl... more

X6 looks to be promising with the Capactive Touch screen. Maybe include something special like Neduim Magnet speakers :D:D
