I agree, X6 looks too cute. Same concerns, and result: Wait and see approach..
When WILL the manufacturers 'get it'?
Just Get it guys, just GET it! Lol!

"Yes, it's all a little too close to the N97 to my mind, so quite what Nokia was thinking here who knows?"
My thoughts exactly.
X6 looks odd at first but could grow on me. Need to see real-life pics. X3...um, not a big fan of sliders. But no 3G? In this day and age?

Very disappointed that this will feature a capacitive screen. I prefer stylus for more accurate tapping in web browser, creating tracks on Viewranger and for quick scribble/drawing. Will probably just pick up the 5800 now that it is going for cheap and pick up a 32GB card when available.

x6 could be the perfect phone i was waiting for, i'm just afraid the OS won't be up to scratch:S

@farki80: You've used an iPhone, right? The benefits of hard capacitive screens are forever repeated on sites like this. In an ideal world, the phone's software would find ways to compensate for the inherent inaccuracy of a blunt pointer such as a fingertip.
If you really need a stylus, it's possible to buy styluses (styli?) that work on capacitive screens.

Woop they mentioned capacitive screen; Instant, unreserved and without consideration of implementation a TR win... Again.

I'm the opposite - I really like the look of the X3, but without the specs of the X6 (minus the touch screen) then it is of no interest to me. Just want a solid, high-end, slim slider with oodles of memory. One day I will be satisfied.

The X6 doesn't have a slot for a microSD card, that's the X3

I am more interested in the N900 (despite it's size,) it is running a browser based on Mozilla and the cpu is the same as what's in the Apple 3GS

X6 looks to be promising with the Capactive Touch screen. Maybe include something special like Neduim Magnet speakers :D:D

The X6 looks like the 'small' touchscreen phone I've been waiting for...
My only concern is whether Nokia will improve Symbian enough for it to be an iPhone/Android competing smartphone or just a 5800 successor.
