O2 Grabs Samsung I7500 Android Handset

This is starting to get a little ridiculous...
O2 has yet another premium handset on its books. Following the iPhone / 3G / 3GS and Palm Pre, the Samsung I7500 'Galaxy' - expected to be the last great chance for those not overly enamoured with the network - has fallen to its charms.
Tech Radar claims an August launch on the cards but cannot confirm whether the deal is exclusive (a frustratingly common trend these days) or not. The site goes on to say the much heralded 4.1in touchscreen Toshiba TG01 will also join the telco's increasingly untouchable thoroughbred line-up.

The Cliff Notes on the Galaxy are impressive: a 3.2in 320 x 480 AMOLED display, 5MP camera with autofocus, 7.2Mbit HSDPA, WiFi, aGPS, 8GB of internal memory, a 32GB compatible microSD expansion slot, 3.5mm jack and huge 1500mAh battery. It measures just 11.9mm thick too so we're looking at a model capable of making a real statement in the marketplace. Downers are that the Galaxy will not sport the 'Sense' UI seen in the Android powered HTC Hero and multi-touch also isn't thought to be enabled.
Will the O2 agreement mean the Galaxy is landed with a choice of deals as inhospitable as the infamous iPhone 3GS tariffs or will an open ended agreement see rival carriers force the network to be a little more generous? As ever, only time will tell...

@ AnRuaRI I didn't know T-Mobile had the Hero. That's good news. I didn't see that anywhere, where was it reported?

@Simon
T-Mobile and Orange will both have the Hero, but they're calling it the G1 Touch.
