iPhone OS 3.0 Reveals Video Recording, Next Gen Parts Shipping?

iPhone fever is hotting up as we race towards 8 June and WWDC 2009 - the most likely announcement date for a new model(s) - and we're getting rumblings of more tasty titbits...
First up a combination of BGR and MacRumours have grabbed snapshots of a new iPhone OS 3.0 build which reveals yet another great, long time wrong is about to be righted: video recording. This was a key feature left off the list at the recent iPhone OS 3.0 unveiling.

Yes, this feature which PAYG handsets 3/4 years ago could handle with ease will finally be coming to arguably the most luxurious phone OS currently on the market - madness. Furthermore we can also see that, like iPhone MMS, video messages can be received and integrated directly into a user's conversation chain.
Other little tweaks reveal the option for displaying the battery life as a percentage plus talk the 3.0 firmware will support OpenGL ES v2.0. On the downside I wouldn't be surprised if some of these tweaks (notably the video recording) are limited to what new hardware Apple will soon announce.
Stepping into more speculative territory the sometimes-spot-on-sometimes-completely-wrong Digitimes is reporting handset component suppliers are beginning to ship parts for a new iPhone. This isn't overly fanciful however as if Apple expects to have handsets ready on or soon after announcement then it can't have 2/3/4 million units ready at the drop of a hat. If only we knew what they were...

Lastly, Dictionary.com wins the handy new iPhone/iPod touch app of the day award with a free client now in App Store giving users access to more than 275,000 definitions and 80,000 synonyms. Support to recognise slightly misspelt words is in there too, the layout looks rather excellent and unlike many current alternatives it's completely free.
Go grab it.
