T-Mobile Bundles International Calls & Data Into Flext

T-Mobile made a huge breakthrough when it launched Flext more than two years ago - a tariff which gives contract users a lump of credit every month to divvy up anyway they see fit between calls, SMS and MMS. It has been successful but surprisingly hasn't seen rival telcos leap on the bandwagon, so perhaps this will cause a few more envious glances...
Flext is widening its umbrella this week to include popular international numbers, voicemail, selected 08 numbers and unlimited Internet access. The move unsurprisingly comes following strong subscriber demand.

Breaking this down, these new categories are defined as follows:
- The inclusion of over 50 of the most popular international calling destinations, so customers can use their allowance to call or text friends and family abroad
- Calls to our most popular 08 numbers - including telephone banking, key utility and customer service lines and premium rate numbers
- Special offer of unlimited web'n'walk access to enable customers to enjoy the whole internet on their phone
- The inclusion of access to voice mail messages as part of the new Flext package
Users also continue to get a free weekly text alert to help them keep track of their credit. Current offers on the Flext tariffs also see Flext 35, Flext 40, Flext 50 and Flext 75 plans reduced by between £5 and £10pm and offering £200, £250, £350 and £650 worth of credit respectively. All Flext contracts are 18 months long and come with subsidised phones/smartphones.
So, rivals - international calls bundled please. And now!
Note: For the record those 50 qualifying countries are:
Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Channel Islands, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Isle of Man, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, USA
