Wonder how finger friendly the UI will be when shrunk to a smaller screen. Hope the price matched the smaller form factor.

As one of the few who *haven't* jumped on the iPhone 3G bandwagon, I'm certainly interested in a smaller form-factor. We'll have to see how it compares to its bigger brother; battery life for one could be reduced.

I'd love it if they kept the same resolution but just made the screen smaller but I'd guess that's a pipe dream - they've have to re-engineer the touch interface to handle the higher dot pitch... then again, wouldn't it be useful to iPhone developers if all iPhone / iPod touch devices had the same resolution? Having to cater for different screen real estates would be a bit of a headache when designing UIs.

Let's see if the rumours are true first (not long to go now!), then lets worry about whether it's Success or just Sucks

Will be interesting to see if this is true, I think the smaller form factor would be an interest for a lot of people who think the physical size of the iPhone is too big.

What I am having some difficulty with is the idea that the iPhone Nano would be a cheaper version, I mean obviously it should be cheaper since it would be smaller, but apart from GPS and the nike+ feature I cant really see any other current features of the iPhone that can be cut without ruining the "experience" side of the iPhone (i.e. surfing the web and app store)
