Card Adds Dual Sim Functionality To Any Phone

Those ingenious chaps over at USBfever have done it again...
Following the iPhone 3G unlock, helpful USB cigarette lighter charger and clutter free portable charger, the Taiwanese company has come up with a potentially life enhancing breakthrough for many: the 'Digital Dual Sim', a product with the ability to make a handset work with two sim cards.

Better still, both sims will apparently be online simultaneously, automatically (thanks for the sad update kassam18) switch between numbers without the need to turn the phone on and off and lines can even be changed manually should the signal become weak on one or the other.
Sounds good, so how does it all work? Ok, it's scissor time. Yup, like many iPhone 3G unlocking solutions a bit of bravery is involved and owners will need to use the available template to cut their sims to a reduced size. They then insert into the sim shaped holder and go back into your phone. Job done. Handily, should you suffer a sudden change of mind or cancel one number, the kit comes with a pair of sim 'houses' which enable owners to put their cut sims inside to return to single sim functionality.

Caveats (naturally): the solution doesn't work with 3G (USIM) sim cards but otherwise claims to be "compatible with 99% of mobile phones" and V1, V2 and V3 sims. Still, the twitchy best check with USBfever first (and probably those with an original iPhone).
The Digital Dual Sim goes on sale immediately for just $11.99 (£6.84 - shipping: $2.99) so even the most credit crunched adventurer shouldn't be scared off. Let us know how you get on...
Update: Good news folks, a new iteration of the Digital Dual Sim is now compatible with 3G cards too. All cards shipped after 17 October will be receiving this upgraded edition. Thanks to Justin and TJ for the spot.
