Busy day for Vodafone...

The network has launched an impressive PAYG slider, gotten official with the touchscreen BlackBerry Storm (formerly Thunder) and announced a solution to protect Windows Mobile email users (though sadly not from Windows Mobile itself).

First things first: the Vodafone 'VF830' (pictured) is a friend for those light of pocket, it comes with HSDPA, an auto focusing 3.2MP camera, video calling, a 2.4in QVGA screen and multimedia playback. All of which you'd think would place it somewhere in the midrange sector but no, just 80 of your hard enough British pounds will see this slider yours on a PAYG contact.

Secondly, though it has yet to throw out an official press release to hail its arrival, Vodafone has begun a draw to win the much anticipated BlackBerry Storm. All you have to do is register interest which seems easy enough.

Lastly, the network has launched 'Vodafone Enhanced Services for Windows Mobile Email' which provides companies with support and consultancy plus a service allowing them to remotely manage, configure, lock, wipe, run diagnostics and setup antivirus and firewalls on their employee's devices. Big brother is very much watching you and you've got to use a Windows Mobile device. Not fair!

All in a good day's remotely monitored work.
