BlackBerry Thunder & Javelin Seen In The Wild

Dusting itself down following a week dominated by Apple (which incidentally didn't cover itself in glory) RIM has once again been catapulted into the headlines following some more lax security...

Real world shots of the BlackBerry Javelin and highly anticipated touchscreen Thunder are now on the loose along with a few more titbits of info. So what do we learn?
The Javelin, as thought, is indeed essentially identical to the stunning Bold but without the 3G data capabilities meaning it will still pack in all the 480 x 360 LCD goodness, GPS, WiFi, a 3.2MP camera and v4.6 OS.

As for the Thunder, which some are now speculating may be called the 'Storm', snaps have shown off what is probably the most discussed part of the handset: the virtual keyboard. Yep, it isn't the most glamorously styled thing in the world but it contains haptics and in landscape mode we do get the full Qwerty layout while portrait brings up the traditional SureType keyboard which may or may not be a disappointment to many.
Depth remains difficult to calculate for the pics but it does seem like the Thunder/Storm will be a reasonably slim device which may just make potential iPhone 3G customers think twice. In terms of pure competition let's hope so...
