It seems only Apple can keep a modicum of secrecy around its impending products (and even then we knew the majority of iPhone 3G details before launch) since Sony Ericsson has joined RIM in this latest leak-o-rama.

Spilling out ahead of official announcement this week are the 'F305' and 'S302' two low-end (that might be a little generous) handsets with a smidgen more to them than the usual cheap stuff.

The former, for example, is a gaming orientated handset which combines its physical buttons with an integrated accelerometer for motion enhancement. Titles are likely to be rather basic as the 2in 176 x 220 resolution screen and EDGE connectivity don't hint at heavy processing power under the hood, but it could be a decent handset for the younger/skinter crowd.

As for the later, the S302 is being marketed as a budget cameraphone but its 2MP fixed focus lens doesn't really inspire us a great deal. You do get a flash (take note Apple) and on-board 'PhotoFix' editing software but our pulses remain borderline crash cart. Both models do however offer Bluetooth with A2DP and flash memory expansion slots (again, Hello Cupertino!).

The F305 and S302 are due in Q3 and Q4 respectively and I stop to wonder: if they hadn't been 'leaked' would I have bothered to write about them in the first place....?

Clever Sony Ericsson. Clever.
