A bit like the mind numbing build up that accompanies exams, we're really starting to get sick of all the next generation iPhone rumours - we just want it here and out the way. Still, for those who can't get enough...

Chitter chatter about the Interweb is that the same beta firmware code which revealed the 3G iPhone chipset has now hinted at yet more goodness.

Doing the trawling this time is Greek site iPhone Hellas which has allegedly identified the strings 'HeadphonesBT' - sparking stereo Bluetooth rumours, 'RoleGPS' - sat nav or expanded assisted GPS support, 'RoleRemote' - suggesting remote control functionality with Apple and/or third party products and mention of a printer - which would keep office types happy.

Less positive, the line 'BRICKED_AND_SIM_LOCKED_STRING BrickedDevice Ignoring request to unlock because we're blocked or bricked' also appears which indicates Apple has new anti-jailbreak security measures on the way. Get on it Dev Team and Zibri...

Also popping up is word from Nike which says it is looking to develop a more advanced version of its Nike+ system for the iPhone/iPod touch. This is something of a surprise since while 'Nike+' appeared in previous 1.2.0 firmware it has disappeared from v2.0. Whether it has any connection with Apple's patented Lifestyle Companion is unknown.

Right, hopefully that will fuel you all until next weeks inevitable Apple ramblings...
